Emcee John Henry Scott
Our emcee, John Henry Scott, does it all…he’s a magician, an actor, a musician, tarot card reader, clown, and all around entertainer. Perhaps you’ve even seen him leading tours around downtown Wilmington while telling spooky ghost stories; he’s easy to recognize with his long hair and long beard. His career has taken him from the airways as a radio DJ to a stint as a circus performer, but one thing is certain no matter what the venue; John Henry Scott is an entertainer that you just can’t take your eyes off of. He moved to Wilmington for acting work in 1994 from New Orleans where he was a successful actor and bass guitarist in a Cajun Zydeco band. Scott refers to himself as a “wizard” rather than a magician: “Magicians do tricks, wizards do magic”, he says with a wink.
