Wish List

Kids Making It relies on the generosity of donors to sustain and expand our programs. As a nonprofit, we are committed to providing at-risk and underserved youth with the tools, resources, and opportunities they need to build a brighter future. Donations are essential to keeping our programs running and ensuring we can continue to support each student individually.

Our wish list is a way to contribute directly to the specific needs of our program. These donations help us provide not only the hands-on skills they need but also the academic support, mentorship, and real-world exposure that can set them on the path to success.

Without the support of donors, it would be impossible to offer the wide range of opportunities that make Kids Making It so impactful. Your donation can help create a lasting difference in a young person’s life, ensuring they have the tools to succeed, both in the classroom and beyond.

  • School Supplies:  We regularly are in need of notebooks, notebook paper, and pencils, lots of pencils!

  • Toiletries: Deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, feminine hygiene, body wash...

  • SNACKS!!! When the kids get to the shop from school, they are FAMISHED. We have a break room that we keep stocked with a variety of pre-packaged snacks. We also have a refrigerator to keep fruits, veggies, and fresh foods. We try to create healthy and substantial meal options for the kids each day.

  • Celebrations: At Kids Making It we celebrate. We celebrate everyone's birthday and graduation, and end of the grading period. Therefore, we're regularly in need of cakes and treats.

  • Prizes for our Prize Box: We have a Prize Box that the kids earn trips to for things like good grades, behavior, and attendance. Our Prize Box has different levels, so it's stocked with everything from candy and small items, to gift cards and larger items.

  • Wood: No surprise here! We go through some wood. We are always in need. If you have any that you don't need, perhaps leftover from a project, or something that you haven't gotten around to using yet, we'll gladly take it off of your hands. Even pressure treated wood, which we use in our Skilled Trades Program.

  • Hardware: Drawer handles, knobs, hinges, etc. If you've recently switched out your kitchen or bath hardware, we'll take the old stuff.

  • Woodworking Supplies: We can't even tell you how much wood glue and sandpaper we go through. Finishing oil, paint, saw blades, screws, pen blanks, we can use it.

Donations can be shipped to:
