Serving older teens and young adults, the program provides opportunities for safety and technical skills training, as well as pathways to careers in the skilled trades.

  • Serving older teens and young adults, the program introduces career options and pathways to jobs in the skilled trades

  • KMI has added a 4,300 square foot building dedicated to the Skilled Trades Program! The building includes a classroom space as well as a workshop outfitted with the latest jobsite construction tools.

  • Kids Making It partners with local professionals to teach the basics of the construction trades, such as carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC

  • Upon completion of the trade courses, students benefit from one-on-one guidance to secure apprenticeships and entry-level positions with local contractors, and/or pathways to continuing education programs.
